Presenting the complete Destiny of an Emperor Soundtrack (MP3; Bitrate: 128)
Though we searched for a long time this soundtrack was simply nowhere to be found—so I recorded it myself from the NSF (original NES format) file then prepared the MP3s. I have separated it into two ‘discs’, the first being the soundtrack, which consists of each song with their unique beginnings, going on to loop once. The second contains all the songs, but with no encoded loops (though they are prepared in such a way that they loop seamlessly when on repeat, unlike the first disc). Both are different, but it comes down to a simple choice. Listen through? Choose disc 1. Repeat songs? Choose disc 2. I also made a makeshift disc cover for your audio programs (or for the true nerds out there, printing).

This little section of the music page is dedicated to fan remixes of music from Romance of the Three Kingdoms games featured here at Kongming’s Archives. If you have the talent to remix the music and make it sound good, and you want to send us a song, please let us know by email.

The objective of the Three Kingdoms Music Project is to make as much Three Kingdoms music available for free to fans over the Internet, this page serving as a hub for all hosted content. If you would like to host music, but don’t actually have the tracks, please read on for details on how to get the files. If you are interested in helping this project there are several ways you can be of assistance, listed below:

• Upload music for download to a remote-link-enabled Web server (Best).
(We direct link to hosted music, attempting to keep links hidden).
• Share music via an public access FTP server, locally or remotely (Good).
(We will remote link to the FTP server from this page, including login).
• Upload to a public-access sharing service like Yahoo! Briefcases (Fair).
(We will link to or provide information on how to obtain the tracks).
• Get us a soundtrack or songs we are searching for (see requests).
(We will attempt to find hosts for all music we receive from fans).

If you would like to host music for Kongming’s Archives and the Three Kingdoms community please contact me by email explaining the means by which you wish to share the music. If you have an FTP server or a Web server, but no music, please provide an account to the relevant directory and I will upload music for public distribution (I won’t break anything). If you need music for another sharing service, contact me to work out details. Free Web hosts like Angelfire and Geocities do not provide enough bandwidth for remote music hosting. I’m not able to teach people how to set up FTP servers and Web servers due to the involved complexity, but even if you can’t assist in this way you can help by donating money, sending in a soundtrack we need, or even simply by downloading music here and finding other ways to share it with the community.

Below we have listed all the soundtracks we would be happy to upload to public servers for distribution. By each soundtrack the total number of files and required hard drive space are both provided. You can expect newer full-size soundtracks to use around six gigabytes bandwidth or more a month on a Web server, while older soundtracks and smaller soundtracks will take much less (we will be happy to upload a few songs at a time while you monitor traffic). We welcome offers to host a half dozen or more miscellaneous songs, or to host half of a new soundtrack. Contact me with any questions you might have.

It can be difficult to find Three Kingdoms music because Koei only releases them to the Asian market, and the console version of the games rarely included CD player-compatible data. As a result of this it takes us some time to get various soundtracks, but you might be able to help if you have purchased one of them or if you have access to servers in the music sharing community.

Below the music we still need has been listed along with any relevant information. If you have or can find any of this music, and would like to share it, please contact me by email to work out a good way to transfer it. Once the music is received, I’ll try to find a host to make it available to the public. If you have a CD containing content listed below (not console game discs) but don’t know how to rip the contents to mp3 format, contact me and I’ll show you how. As always, please email any relevant questions.
